when their house sank to the bottom of the ocean i thought the massive outside pressure would straight up kill them only to learn it was being counteracted by the massive inside pressure that kills them instead. everything felt so dismal and suffocating and entirely unrelenting. i liked the usage of music in this and the doubling down on animal metaphors and trapping the reader in the traumatized psyche of a miserable woman for whom things only get worse in spite of and due to being genuinely cared for. really remarkable stuff thank you
I enjoyed this--it's fruitfully unsettling! Thank you for putting it together. I'm impressed by how many ideas and images you keep up as consistent throughlines. I'm also impressed by the attention to small details, like the sound effect for saving. And it's always nice to see something using 4:3.
impeccable work. beautiful visually and thematically. i can feel the water pressure from reading this. what a pretty pair of parasites. thanks for sharing this story
